Design a house using two sets of Rules of Thumb:
• Use the set of listed architectural patterns
• Use the technical rules of thumb provided in class
Scope: The house will be a maximum of 800 square feet, and provide (minimum requirements):
a living room, a space for cooking and dining, two bedrooms, 1 ½ baths, and other spaces appropriate for a house. The site is located in Levittown adjacent to an open space lot on a gateway street into one of the areas where the 1949-51 Levitt ranch unit was built.
Part A: Review handouts for design patterns and design rules of thumb provided for this project. Identify the rules of thumb you plan to use to refine the design of the house.
Part B: Develop a detached house using the architectural patterns and rules of thumb, following the minimum submission requirements.
