The form & function of household items and the design of existing bridges combined to create a new form. With this new form of the bridge, we need created an opening for the bridge while keeping the overall function and design in mind.

Design Process

Mechanical Development

The system was designed to imitate the pooper scooper by having the motor at the top which took the place of the hand on the pooper scooper. The the pulley below was meant to imitate the spring, and finally the arms above the truss would pull open the truss on a hinge.
